2025 CUNY DHI Lightning Talks In Review
On 03, Nov 2025 | No Comments | In Events of Interest | By Maggie Schreiner
Thank you for making the 2025 CUNY Digital Humanities Initiative Lightning Talks a big success! The event saw twenty presenters from six CUNY campuses share a wide range of exciting and innovative digital projects. The event was fully hybrid, with in-person presenters and attendees in the Graduate Center’s Skylight room, with additional participants joining us on Zoom. Using the event’s 3-slide, 3-minute format, we heard updates on the evolution of long-term projects, learned about new projects in development, and everything in between. For the first time, we had a suite of presentations examining the use of artificial intelligence in research, pedagogy, and design. The event was live-streamed at the NYC Public Interest Technology Pop Up at the Oculus. See below for the evening’s schedule of presentations, and the full slide deck.

Welcome to the blog of the CUNY DHI, an effort to build momentum and community around Digital Humanities practitioners at CUNY. We hope you'll join us at our upcoming events and that you'll follow this blog to hear about the latest news in the field.
